Prop Firm Payout Calculator

See what you actually keep. Enter your profit and pick a firm's profit split (or set a custom one) — we'll show your take-home and the firm's cut.

Estimate only, not financial advice.

How it's calculated

Take-home = P × S ÷ 100
Firm's share = P − Take-home

Worked example

You made $8,000 on a funded account with a 90% split.

Take-home = $8,000 × 90 ÷ 100 = $7,200.

Firm's share = $8,000 − $7,200 = $800. At an 80% split the same profit would pay you $6,400.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a prop firm profit split?

The profit split is the share of profits you keep. Most firms pay the trader 80–90%; some advertise up to 100% within a capped payout ladder. Enter your profit and pick a firm (or a custom split) to see your take-home.

Does this account for payout caps or fees?

No — this is the straight split on a given profit amount. Real payouts can be capped per cycle, require a minimum number of winning days, or carry activation fees. Always confirm the cadence and caps with your firm.

How much do you keep from a $10,000 prop firm profit?

At an 80% split you keep $8,000 of a $10,000 profit and the firm keeps $2,000; at a 90% split you keep $9,000 and the firm keeps $1,000.

Is the challenge fee deducted from the profit split?

No — the split applies to trading profit only, and the challenge fee is a separate cost you pay up front. Some firms, including FTMO, refund the evaluation fee with your first payout, so check your firm's terms to work out your true net.

How can I get a higher profit split?

Most firms raise the split through a scaling plan or a paid add-on. For example, FTMO's scaling plan lifts the split from 80% to 90%, and several firms sell a higher split as an option at checkout.
