Free Trading Tools & Calculators
Quick calculators built around the R-value framework — size your risk, check your edge against prop-firm rules, and read your trades in R. Free, instant, no account needed.
Each tool answers one question traders ask before or after a trade: how big should this position be, what did the trade return in R, does my system have a positive expectancy, how much can I safely risk, what is a pip worth, how deep is my drawdown hole, and would this run pass a prop-firm challenge. Each calculator page shows the formula it uses and a worked example, so you can check the math yourself.
Position Size Calculator
Account size + risk % + stop distance → exact position size. Stocks, forex & CFD.
Would I Pass? New

Drawdown Recovery
The gain needed to recover any drawdown — losses and recoveries aren't symmetric.
Kelly Criterion
Win rate + reward:risk → full, half & quarter-Kelly position size.
Expectancy
Win rate + avg win/loss → expected profit per trade, in $ and in R.
Pip Value
What one pip is worth on your forex position, with lot-size presets.
Prop Firm Payout
Profit + split → your take-home vs the firm's cut (FTMO, Topstep, Apex…).

Are these trading calculators free?
Yes — every calculator here is free, runs instantly in your browser, and needs no account or signup. The SignalDeck journal is optional — use it if you want the same metrics calculated from your real trades.
Which trading calculator should I start with?
Start with the Position Size Calculator, because correct sizing controls how much any single trade can cost you. Then use the R-Multiple and Expectancy calculators to measure results in R, and the Drawdown Recovery and Kelly Criterion calculators to check whether your risk per trade is sustainable.
What is the R-value framework?
The R-value framework measures every trade as a multiple of the amount risked, where 1R is the distance from entry to stop. Expressing results in R makes trades of different sizes and instruments comparable, and it is the unit SignalDeck uses for expectancy, SQN and position sizing.
