Frequently Asked Questions

How does FX Strength calculate currency strength?

Each currency's strength is the average of its percentage move against every other major currency over the selected timeframe — not just one pair. A currency ranked #1 is broadly appreciating against the whole major basket, not just strong against a single counterpart.

How fresh is the rate data?

The baseline source is the European Central Bank's reference-rate feed, published once per business day. Where a live delayed feed is configured, today's reading is supplemented with a value delayed by roughly 15 minutes — historical days always come from the ECB feed. The app works fully offline from its local cache between refreshes, and always shows you how current the data is.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free — today's ranking for 4 currencies, updated once daily. Pro ($7.99/mo or $69.99/yr, 7-day free trial) — all 8 currencies, daily/weekly/monthly timeframes, the pair heatmap, strength history charts, strongest/weakest alerts, and watermark-free trade-card export.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Open Settings on your iOS device → tap your name → Subscriptions → FX Strength Pro → Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period. All billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled entirely by Apple — see our Terms of Use for details.

I reinstalled the app or got a new device — how do I get Pro back?

Open FX Strength, tap any locked Pro feature to open the paywall, and tap Restore Purchases. As long as you're signed into the same Apple ID that made the original purchase, your subscription restores automatically — no new account or login needed, since the app has no account system at all.

Why does the app say rates are stale or delayed?

If FX Strength can't reach its data source (offline, or the source is temporarily unavailable), it falls back to the most recent cached reading and flags it as stale so you're never shown outdated data without knowing it. It automatically refreshes the next time it can reach the network — pull down on the list to force a refresh.

Does FX Strength collect my personal data?

No. There's no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking SDKs in the app. See the full Privacy Policy for exactly what network calls the app makes and why.
