These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FX Strength — Currency Meter (the "App"), an iOS application developed by SignalDeck ("SignalDeck", "we", "us", or "our") and distributed via the Apple App Store.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Description of the App
FX Strength ranks the 8 major currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, NZD) from strongest to weakest based on each currency's average move against every other major. Rate data comes from the European Central Bank's public reference-rate feed and, where configured, a delayed (~15 minute) supplementary feed. The App is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
FX Strength is not a financial advisor, broker, or investment adviser. Nothing in the App constitutes financial advice, trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument. All trading involves risk. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions and their outcomes. Rate data is delayed and must not be relied on for time-sensitive execution.
2. No Account Required
The App does not require you to register an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use its free features. Your subscription status (if you purchase Pro) is managed entirely through your Apple ID via Apple's In-App Purchase system — see our Privacy Policy for what data the App does and does not collect.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Plans
FX Strength offers a free tier (4 currencies, daily timeframe) and an optional Pro subscription (all 8 currencies, every timeframe, pair heatmap, history charts, alerts, and watermark-free export), billed monthly or annually, each with a 7-day free trial. Current pricing is shown in the App and in the App Store listing.
Billing is handled entirely by Apple
All purchases, billing, renewals, and refunds for Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store, not by SignalDeck directly. Your payment method is charged by Apple according to the pricing and billing cycle shown at the time of purchase. We do not receive or store your payment information.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device, or through the App Store app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until then. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's own refund policy — SignalDeck cannot issue refunds directly. See Apple's Request a refund for apps or content you bought from Apple support page.
Free Trial
Each Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. At the end of the trial, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the plan's regular price unless you cancel before the trial ends, per Apple's standard subscription behavior.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, or bypass its subscription/entitlement checks
- Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the App's data sources or backend services
- Use the App's data feeds for automated scraping, redistribution, or resale
- Misrepresent your affiliation with SignalDeck or the App
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, ranking methodology, and content, is owned by SignalDeck and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our written consent.
6. Data Sources and Accuracy
Rate data is sourced from the European Central Bank's free public reference-rate feed and, where available, a supplementary delayed feed. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data, and we are not responsible for decisions made based on it. If a data source is unreachable, the App falls back to its most recently cached data, which may be stale.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SIGNALDECK AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TRADING LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
9. Termination
We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at our discretion. Since the App does not require an account, "termination" simply means uninstalling the App; any active subscription must be separately cancelled through Apple as described in Section 3.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This section does not limit any consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence, or any rights you have under Apple's own terms as the platform provider.
12. Apple as a Third-Party Beneficiary
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and SignalDeck only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.
