Dashboards answer the questions someone designed them for. An assistant with your trade history can answer the one you actually have today, in plain English, from the same numbers the app shows you: R-multiples, SQN, expectancy, strategy breakdowns, your calendar and your goals.
It reads open positions, full trade history with notes and post-mortems, your review queue, backtests and live strategy runs. It only ever sees your own account.
Journaling fails when it's a chore. Tell your assistant what happened and it does the data entry: log the trade, trail the stop, close it with the exit reason, fill in the post-mortem, attach the chart and write the day's entry.
P&L, R-multiple and slippage are calculated by the same code the app uses, so a trade closed by your assistant is identical to one closed by hand.
Your assistant can run the same pre-trade checks as the app. It projects a new trade against your open book and your prop firm or custom rules, and flags concentration in a single symbol or strategy. It all happens in the conversation where you're already thinking through the trade.

Your assistant can read every backtest you've run, including Walk-Forward and Monte Carlo results on plans that include them. It can also read how each promoted strategy has performed live since promotion, and scanner runs and signals too. Ask it why live results are drifting and it has the numbers to answer.
Three permission levels, chosen when you connect. The defaults are conservative, and nothing reaches your broker.

Start free, then connect your assistantMCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant call tools in another app. SignalDeck runs an MCP server, so a connected assistant can read your journal and, if you allow it, make changes to it on your behalf.
Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code) and ChatGPT. claude.ai and ChatGPT connect with a sign-in and approval screen. Claude Code and Claude Desktop can also use a personal access token from Settings. Any MCP client that supports remote HTTP servers with OAuth or bearer tokens can connect the same way.
Only if you allow it. Read access is the default. Write access is a separate permission you grant when you connect, and the assistant is instructed to show you each change and get your confirmation first. Deleting is a further opt-in on top of write, and deleting a trade also requires confirming its symbol, because a deleted trade can't be restored.
No. The assistant works inside your SignalDeck journal only. It never touches your broker, billing or account settings, and it can never change the automated scanner's managed positions.

The change is made, and the assistant tells you which fields came from the broker sync. The next forced re-import from MT5, cTrader, SnapTrade, IBKR or Tradovate will overwrite those fields. Manual and CSV trades never warn.
In SignalDeck, go to Settings → AI assistants (MCP). Revoke a personal access token, or disconnect an app under Connected apps, and access stops immediately. Changing or resetting your password also cuts off every existing connection. Logging out of the web app does not.
